Aleksandar Mitrovic: 'Al Hilal Comparable to Real Madrid'

Mitrovic himself ventured outside Europe for the first time in the summer of 2023. The former Fulham striker joined Al Hilal in a transfer deal worth 52.6 million Euros.

However, Mitrovic had no trouble adapting. The 29-year-old striker has already netted five goals and provided one assist in just four matches.

The Serbian international even managed to score his first hat-trick. Mitrovic achieved this feat in the 5th week against Al Ittihad.

Al Hilal Comparable to Real Madrid

Mitrovic is currently very happy at Al Hilal. He praised Al Hilal and did not hesitate to compare it to Real Madrid.

"Honestly, refusing an offer from Al Hilal feels impossible," said Mitrovic as quoted by Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I am thrilled to finally join a top club here. Al Hilal is similar to Real Madrid in Europe," he added.
Similar in Terms of Achievements

Mitrovic's statement refers to Al Hilal's achievements in Asia being comparable to Madrid's in Europe.

If Madrid holds the record for the most UEFA Champions League trophies (14) won by a club, then Al Hilal also boasts the most AFC Champions League titles (4).

Madrid's Los Galacticos project from a few years ago seems to have been emulated by Al Hilal in the summer of 2023.

In addition to Mitrovic, Al Hilal also brought in Neymar, Malcom, Ruben Neves, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
